In order to secure an isolation room for cats with feline AIDS and injured cats, we are planning to install a large trailer house on the grounds of our headquarters, Cafe COVO TANA.

What is the Amami Cat Club?
This is an organization established to solve various problems surrounding cats on Amami Oshima.
In addition to solving the cat problem, we are working to make Amami Oshima a place where people, cats, and wild animals can all live comfortably, exploring how to achieve a better coexistence between people, pets including cats, and the natural environment, while working to make Amami Oshima a more mature island where the islanders can protect the unique assets that are unique to the island.

We are barely able to cover expenses such as expenses and medical costs through membership fees and donations, and most of the personnel costs for our activities are paid by unpaid volunteers.

All five municipalities on Amami Oshima - Amami City, Tatsugo Town, Uken Village, Yamato Village, and Setouchi Town - have enacted similar "Ordinances on the Proper Care and Management of Pet Cats." The Amami Cat Club is also working to promote proper care in accordance with these ordinances.
