Frequently asked questions

Q.01

If my cat dies, will I get a refund?

No, we don't.

Please note that the membership fee will be paid as a donation, which will be used to continue running the Amami Cat Club, protect Amami's stray cats, and help preserve the natural and social environment.

Q.03

What happens if I leave my cat and can't find a new home for it?

At Amami Cat Club, we will take responsibility for caring for your cat until the very end.

In the meantime, we will continue to look for new family members to welcome into our home.

Q.02

Will you take in my pet even if it has a chronic illness?

We will accept Amami Cat Club graduates free of charge, but you will need to pay membership fees for at least three years (180,000 yen or more excluding tax).

Q.04

Will you take in my pet even if it has a chronic illness?

We will take in cats with chronic illnesses (kidney disease, diabetes, etc.), cats that are positive for feline AIDS or feline leukemia, and even cats that are elderly.

However, if emergency treatment for an injury or illness (such as emergency surgery or hospitalization), spay/neuter surgery, or tests such as virus checks are required, additional fees will be charged.
